 Featherstone Farm offers seasonal and year round employment to approximately 35 people;  men and women, young and old, experienced and inexperienced, English speaking and Spanish speaking.   It is the strength of our crew and its sense of shared commitment that makes everything we do at the farm possible.

 

Since 2007, Featherstone Farm has participated in a pilot program for domestic fair trade certification.  This means that all its employment policies and contracts are fully transparent and certifiably “fair” according to standards of the Agricultural Justice Project (AJP).

 

The farm provides an hourly wage (with overtime at 40 hrs/week), workers comp, and free produce for all of its employees.  In addition, it provides housing in a variety of arrangements- on and off the farm- for many seasonal crew members.

 

Through the winter of 2011-2012, Featherstone Farm is revising its labor contracts and policies, and updating job descriptions.  For this reason, the employment section of this website is under development as well.

 

In the meantime, we are recruiting and hiring individuals for the 2012 season (and beyond).  If you are interested, please send a resume, a letter of introduction and 3 references to our staff.
