Week 4 Winter CSA is heading out to members today! We still have tomatoes, broccoli, and kale as well as a lot of great storage veg. Enjoy!!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING from all of us at Featherstone! We enjoyed a feast of tacos, pierna, stuffing, green bean casserole, and Jack’s famous pie!

Alejandro and team are working in the high tunnels today! We are getting prepped for cold weather coming this week: preparing the remay frost blankets, taking down irrigation, and giving everything a little extra love!

Featherstone Farm sells certified organic carrots that our customers can trust! Many of you have seen the news of the nationwide recall on organic carrots coming out of a farm business in California. We want to let all of our customers know that you can count on us for top quality, safe produce for your family. We are not only organically certified (and @realorganicproject) but we go through rigorous food safety certifications and audits every year through both the USDA and GAP. Just as important though, is the fact that we are a local farm right here in your community, and open communication with our customers is important to us. You can feel safe picking up Featherstone carrots in your local coop and in your CSA boxes. And we are always happy to show customers our operation and answer your questions.

Cover crops have had a long warm fall to get established ahead of winter. This fall we seeded mostly rye to hold onto nutrients, reduce erosion, add organic matter, and suppress weeds. We’ll have lush green fields as soon as the snow melts in t

Featherstone x Hoch organic apples! We are so excited to have organic apples for our CSA again this winter- and more than ever! This fall we picked and stored many bins of fruit and this week we have been sorting and preparing for both bags and JUICE! It’s been such a fun project and we can’t wait to share the fruits of our labor with winter CSA members all winter long.
Tomatoes in November?! These have been a real highlight around the farm this year. We planted these in July, added just a little supplement heat for night below freezing, and have had beautiful fruits for both winter CSA and wholesale.
